Rise Up is an innovative learning and development platform that helps organisations deliver impactful, adaptive training at scale. Known for its AI-powered tools and user-centric design, Rise Up serves a diverse global audience, enabling workplace learning that is effective and measurable.
Although Rise Up had a solid foundation, its branding needed refinement to create a cohesive and consistent identity. With teams based in both France and the UK, outsourcing design work to various designers had led to inconsistencies in their brand assets. Additionally, their initial brand guidelines were no longer sufficient to support the company’s growth, lacking the depth and structure needed for cohesive application across all marketing channels. With sub-brands such as Rise Up Academy emerging, it became essential to refine the overarching brand without deviating from its established identity.
We began by compiling all existing assets and conducting a thorough review to identify what was working and what needed improvement. Additionally, we carried out competitor analysis to help define the direction for the brand. The work included:
Refined brand devices: Expanding and defining the use of Rise Up’s circular brand elements to introduce flexibility and clarity for application across all media.
Clearer brand guidelines: Creating a comprehensive 44-page brand guidelines document covering typography, colour palettes, brand devices, iconography and more.
Platform components & features: Illustrating platform components and their integration with photography to ensure clarity and usability in visual representations.
Sub-brand integration: Creating the styling for sub-brands, such as Rise Up Academy, with the primary brand while allowing for differentiation.
Comprehensive templates: Designing a suite of templates, including PowerPoint, email, case study, social media, and a one-pager, giving teams the flexibility to create various content within a cohesive framework.
The new brand guidelines now give Rise Up a cohesive and scalable framework, ensuring consistent application across all channels. By integrating new sub-brand elements, updating styling for collateral, and adding platform illustrations, the brand now projects a polished, professional, and innovative identity, firmly positioning it in the competitive learning and development market.
